In light of my last post, I was especially excited when I came across Gwigle – a game designed to help players practice Google search rules in a fun, puzzle-based way. Essentially, Gwigle is comprised of increasingly difficult levels that present searches and ask users to guess the query or search terms.
For example, here’s the screenshot of Level 1:
Gwigle, which stands for “Guess What I Google Literally Everyday,” presents the queried term with question marks, and then players have to look for clues within the search results to guess the query. This activity is both fun and challenging, and would be a great way for students to get some practice with Google searching after a lesson on search modifiers.
Spoiler Alert! – The answer to the level one question, in case you were wondering, is “Google” itself 🙂
