It’s been a while since I have shared a free, educational app on the blog, so here’s one that’s easy on the pocketbooks and easy on the eyes! Color Uncolored is a free download for the iPad, and as the name suggests, is an application devoted to learning more about colors.

Essentially, the app is an interactive book that explores interesting color concepts, optical illusions, and shares little-known color facts. Example activities include: What color is a whisper? How is Monet like a honeybee? Don’t let the dog drive! With clever titles and images, the application allows users to explore color concepts in an easy and interesting format. Some activities even have users use everyday objects like CD cases, paper, etc. to conduct their own experiments!

Check out some screenshots below, and then download for free and explore color on your own or in your classroom!
