Another Monday, another free app for you to explore!

This week, I wanted to share Pizza Fractions with you, which is exactly what it sounds like: an app that allows students to practice recognizing fractions with a pizza example. Designed for grade levels 2-6, the application has a game-like feel that randomly generates fractions for students to identify by counting slices of pizza. Denominators are limited to 1-12, which keeps the fractions relatively simple and manageable. As an educator or parent, you can adjust the difficulty level of the questions to progress with the student’s mastery of fractions.

This would be a great way to get students to practice basic fraction concepts in class or at home, and with the app’s silly chef cartoon character and engaging sound effects, I think it would be enjoyable for any child. Plus, who doesn’t love pizza???

Happy fraction practice!
