Congratulations to Ashley Mucha, the winner of this Kindle giveaway!

Today, I was perusing the TeachBytes Facebook account and realized, “Holy crap, I have more than 1,000 followers!”

What started out as a grad-school pastime has slowly become one of my most valued endeavors, and all of you are responsible for that! Your comments, likes, follows and tweets have pushed me to find new tools, capture new methods, and share my learnings. As a thank you, I wanted to run a giveaway!

Today, because I can’t believe I have 1,000 followers on Facebook, I’m giving away one Amazon Kindle. Use it in your classroom to build your library or heck, use it for yourself because you are awesome (or, do what I would do, which is both!).

To enter the giveaway, just shout out your favorite book in the comments section of this post.
Additionally, you must either like TeachBytes on Facebook or follow TeachBytes on Twitter (or, do both because you know you want to).

One entry per person, please.
Winners will be selected at random and announced in one week, on July 17th .

Giveaway ends July 17th at 11:59 PM CST. Open to Legal Residents (18 years of age or older) of the US only. Prizes cannot be shipped to PO Boxes. Winner will be selected by Random.org and be notified by email. Winner will have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is selected. The product offered for the giveaway is free of charge, no purchase necessary. TeachBytes is not responsible for any damage during the shipping process of prizes. Facebook, Twitter and WordPress are in no way associated with this giveaway. By providing your information in this form, you are providing your information to me and me alone. I do not share or sell information and will use any information only for the purpose of contacting the winner.

  1. My favorite personal book is Gentleman’s Agreement by Laura Z. Hobson. With my students, it would be Big Al.

  2. My favorite book of all time is The Outsiders – I have read it numerous times over the years and it was my favorite book to teach to my middle school students.

  3. Pingback: KINDLE BOOKS
  4. Favorite personal book: High Fidelity by Nick Hornby; favorite classroom book (I’m a science teacher, but I teach literacy through novels in my class!) is The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks

    1. If you loved The Giver, you should read other other three novels, including her recent sequel. Even as an adult, they are SO enjoyable! (Gathering Blue, Messenger, and Son.. in that order!)
