His term ends in January, giving the battle over abortion rights a high profile heading into the November elections. <\/p>\n
Josh Shapiro, the Democratic candidate for governor, has voted to continue to veto abortion bans. However, his Republican opponent, State Sen. Doug Mastriano, has said he believes all abortions should be illegal, with no exceptions.<\/p>\n
